Create Africa South wishes to honour the lives and experiences of people who have
experienced South African History.
This project is committed to developing and encouraging the creative and literary skills of women,
with specific emphasis on giving shape to their experiences and creative potential.
The idea evolved out of the Voices of Women project where black South African women began to
give literary and visual expression to their experiences.
The first book is:

This book is illustrated by embroideries made by Florence where she illustrates her captivating text. Shortly after her completion
of this document and her marriage to Eric Mthembu she died in Ndwedwe from an asthma attack.
